Our Principal
WELCOME to the 2021 - 2022 School Year!
As we embark on the new school year, one which continues to be influenced by Covid-19, please be assured of the unchanging nature of our mission at Spruce Mountain Middle School. As we work to find our new normal for learning, the staff and I pledge to ensure that:
-
Every child, every day finds a way to feel connected.
-
Every child, every day engages with new learning opportunities.
-
Every child, every day knows they have a champion they can turn to.
Spruce Mountain Middle School is a special place because it is home to a learning community where educators and students care for each other and strive to build positive relationships that support academic success and social growth. At SMMS, we teach and model for our students what it means to take care of ourselves, take care of each other, and take care of this place. While the start of the year may not be "normal," the SMMS staff and I remain steadfast in our commitment to doing what is best for our students. We look forward to working with you and helping each student at Spruce Mountain Middle School have a successful school year.
